COMFORT TO BELIEVERS IN THE MIDST OF BEREAVEMENT.
His return is that it brings comfort to believers in the midst of bereavement. "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord WHEREFORE COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS" (IThcss. 4: 14-18).
Another very important truth about His coming is that it strengthens our faith as believers, "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (Hebrews 10: 24-25).

"Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that he may befound of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. " (2 Peters 3:13-14).
His coming keeps believers alert, occupied for Him as well as being watchful. Remember what the master said Himself concerning His return? " So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass know ye that the Kingdom of God is nigh at hand Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled heaven and earth shall pass away:
but my word shall not pass away And take heed to yourselves lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare (trap) shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man " (Luke 21:31-36). "For the Son of man is as a man taking afar journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to everyman his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cock crowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he finds you sleeping. And what I say unto you (the disciples then) I say unto all, (you & me) Watch (Mark 13:34-37).
The Book of wisdom says "wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom and with all your getting, get understanding" (Proverb 4:7). Application of Knowledge equals wisdom. Be wise as you read this discourse.

We must be like the virgins, have our lamps filled with oil (of the Holy Spirit) and taught, preaching the gospel by the time we arrive, we are ready to settle with him.
All the believers are waiting for this event and many will lament, as in the time of Noah, who will not imagine that a flood would come, when JESUS comes, his glory will be manifested and we will precede his presence and he will receive us in a cloud.

We must watch and be careful that the Lord will find us clean and without stain, this does not mean that we will be perfect, because the blood of Jesus makes us righteous before God, but that keeping us in intimacy and communion with God alerts us to the machinations of the enemy so as not to fall into traps that could harm our sanctity.
