By grace you are saved through faith; and this not of you, it is a gift
of God; not for works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2: 8-9

The first, "by grace", shows that men can not have a
living relationship with God through his own efforts. The end of the sentence what
confirms: we can not be saved on the basis of our good works, "so that
no one can boast. " "By grace," this means being saved from our estrangement
of God is a favor. God wants us to enter freely in relation to him.
The Bible never says that a well-ordered life gives us the right to enter
in the presence of God.
Man, deprived of that vital link with God, is spiritually dead
in their sins (Ephesians 2: 1), lost, without resources. That's why you need a Savior,
and God gave it to us. He sent his Son Jesus Christ to free us from our sins.
All who accept this liberation as a grace from God, are saved from
that moment.
These thoughts could lead us to conclude, in a false but very
extended, that in the end all men will be saved. But this remains
totally contradicted by the third expression: "by means of faith". Alone
those who personally accept this invitation of grace are saved. This is how they prove
who submit to God and believe in what he declares.
"There is no difference, because all have sinned, and are destitute of glory
of God, being justified freely by his grace, through redemption
