Do not be found in you ... who practices divination, or doomsday, or enchantment, or sorcerer, or enchantment, or fortune-teller, or magician, or who consults the dead. For anyone who does these things is an abomination to the Lord.
Deuteronomy 18: 10-12
Most newspapers and magazines have their astrology page, and many readers have them as references to explain their character, interpret what happens to them and make their decisions. Luck, work, lost or found love, health, you only need to read in each section the prediction that corresponds to your astrological sign. Written in a deftly ambiguous way, it tends to guide the reader's behavior during the week. The astrologer who signs it becomes a little its owner, and profits by exploiting the credulity of the reader. Some people, despite being skeptical about the reliability of these horoscopes, read them regularly as a distraction, without believing too much. But, careful, danger! The Word of God warns us solemnly against the seers, mediums, and any type of gurus, whether as a game or as a conviction (see the verse of the day). These practices can really get in touch with the demons. Without knowing it, readers are often put under the influence of occult and nefarious forces.
Do not be fooled. Only God owns the future, near or far. Believe in Him who deserves to be believed, who never deceives. He does not reveal everything to us about our near future, so that we keep our confidence in him active; however, it is very clear about the eternal future of each one. This future rests exclusively on one person: Jesus Christ, whom we have to receive as Savior during the time of our life on earth.
Well said @mosdad those who practice sorcery, divination, enchantment among others is abomination before God, because these things are deceits porque only God knows our past, present and future.
