Ephesians 5: 2
I am full, having received ... what you sent; fragrant smell, sacrifice accepted, pleasing to God.
Philippians 4:18
No doubt you will have noticed the expression repeated in the two verses of today: "fragrant smell".
In the first, this "fragrant odor" is attributed to the sacrifice that our Lord Jesus Christ made on the cross of Golgotha. He had consecrated his whole life to the glory of God, but that had not been enough to save us; It was necessary that he give his life to take away our sins. He had received this commandment from his Father (John 10:18), and he was obedient to death, and death on a cross (Philippians 2: 8). "Christ ... offered himself without blemish to God" (Hebrews 9:14). This absolute obedience and consecration are a source of eternal satisfaction for God.
The apostle Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, used the same expression to characterize an offering he had received from the Christians of the city of Philippi in Macedonia. Obviously, this material help was useful and comforted Paul, a prisoner at that time, but the apostle pointed out that this donation was for God a fragrant sacrifice.
Our God is truly full of grace and care for his children. The most modest gesture we make for him receives the same qualification as the supreme sacrifice fulfilled by his Son. This should encourage us to persevere in good works, to be generous. "And do well and do mutual help do not forget; because of such sacrifices God is pleased "(Hebrews 13:16).

amen!! that everything we do for God comes as a fragrant smell before his presence.
I like perfumes brother Mosdad, being the perfume of God in society is something out of the ordinary. Let's get the aroma of God to the world.
