STEEMCHURCH - A FINAL SALVATION
Welcome to my blog
God bless you!C
These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 5:13
Numerous texts of the Bible affirm that whoever believes in Jesus and receives eternal life can never lose the salvation of his soul, even if he sometimes loses conviction of it. The following verses leave no doubt about this very fundamental issue:
"God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish, but may have eternal life" (John 3:16). This life that God communicates to us is eternal, it is not interrupted, it can not disappear. On the other hand, she "is hid with Christ in God" (Colossians 3: 3). Who could take it from us?
When we believe, we receive a new nature, we are born "again" (John 3: 3-8). "Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God" (1 John 5: 1). "Now we are children of God" (1 John 3: 2). It is a relationship that can not be altered.
Jesus compares himself to a door through which the sheep must enter, that is, the people who believe in him (John 10: 7). Once the sheep have passed through that door, image of the conversion, they belong forever to the good Shepherd. He declares: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me, and I give them eternal life; and they will never perish, nor will anyone snatch them out of my hand. My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand "(John 10: 27-29).
Very good reflection @mosmosdad, remember the immense love of God for us encourages us to remain in his word to achieve that final salvation.
Blessings.
