Joseph did everything he could to make Maria comfortable in the small barn. Because that night the child was born, just as the angel had said. They named him Jesus

Luke 2: 1-20
With great care, Joseph seated Maria on the back of the donkey and they began their journey.
"The Roman emperor chose a bad time to make us go to our cities," complained Jose.
-Yes, said Maria. But it is the law. He wants to tell his citizens.
The trip to Bethlehem was very heavy for a woman who was about to have a child. Late at night they arrived at the small village.
"I'm going to find lodging so you can rest," said José.
However, each place of lodging was already full of travelers. José played from door to door and received the same answers: "Everything is busy." "There are no more rooms." "Look in the other street."
Maria was very tired. And José was worried. He kept knocking on doors, begging for accommodation.
-Please, it does not matter, any place you have is fine. My wife is about to give birth!
The last innkeeper felt sorry for the young couple.
-I have a stable back here. It's small, it's dark and there are the animals. It is not very clean.
-We accept it, thank you !?
Joseph did everything he could to make Maria comfortable in the small barn. Thank God I had found that accommodation! Because that night the child was born, just as the angel had said. They called him Jesus. Mary looked at the beautiful baby and remembered the words of the angel: "He will save the world."
That same night, some shepherds watched over their flock in a nearby field. An angel of the Lord appeared to the shepherds and a glorious light shone around them. The shepherds had never seen such a thing, so they were afraid. But the angel reassured them, saying:
-Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will be a great joy to all the people. Today, his Savior was born in Bethlehem. So they will recognize him: he is wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Then many angels appeared in heaven, singing and praising God for the wonderful gift of the child Jesus. They sang: "Glory to God in heaven, and on earth, peace and goodwill to men!"
The shepherds could hardly wait to find the child Savior, so they immediately went to the city to look for the child who was lying in a manger. When they found Mary, Joseph and Jesus, they knew that the words of the angel were true.
