The commanded blessings of God!

Psa 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

It seems no matter which way you look there is something trying and designed to drive us apart. It is the goal of some to keep us from having any form of agreement with one another. The spirit of contention, discord, factions, pride, elitist, ego, anger and strife.
This is the spirit of the world, lawlessness and darkness of the age we live.

Sad that this is not just a minor problem in the church. It has made its way into the church and you can see it absolutely everywhere! Denominations, special revelation, debate and arguing over some golden calf of bible knowledge.
All meant to rob us of the commanded blessing! When God commands a blessing, this blessing can it be stopped. But we have to first meet the criteria for God to command the blessing. God will not command the blessing unless the brethren walk together in unity.
If you think you have a great revelation from God and you are the only one, you are in pride. Be careful!

If you meet someone new. You both express you are a Christian or follower of Christ. Most of the time the next question. “What are you?” “What denomination?” Right away we want to “brand” one another. Ohhhhhh, your Baptist!
Right away we make assumptions and draw conclusions. We never really gave each other a chance to get to know one another.

The famous 1 Cor chapter 13 on love. Says you can have faith to move mountains, you can give all you have to the poor, but if you don’t have love, you are nothing!
If you don’t have love, your words and your actions don’t match!
At the same time you and I are missing the commanded blessing of God for walking in unity.
A wedge is driven between husband and wife, brother and sister, Pastor and his congregation, brothers in Christ are fighting and friendships are broken. All within the Church! And we forfeit the commanded blessing!

Jesus said the people on the outside will know us by our love for one another.
John says we cannot claim we love God and hate our brother at the same time. Impossible!

If we hate someone and refuse the hand of fellowship because of nationality, skin color, because they are rich or poor. The love of God is merely words. But true love always means action!
It is love that never fails. It is love that covers a multitude of sins. It is love unfeigned! Not fake love. The love of God that was shed abroad in our hearts. The fruit of the Spirit. The proof is in the fruit! If you don’t have love, how can you claim to have the Spirit of Christ?
We are deceived, side tracked, focusing on each other’s faults. No patience with each other. No love, no self control!

And we miss the commanded blessings of God!

Love is a choice and not a feeling! Let’s repent of bitterness, envy and strife! Walking in unity does not mean we believe exactly the same thing. Unity is one accord! Like music. Different notes played together to make a chord.
In Heaven there will be every nation, kindred and tribe.
Heaven on earth! God’s true kingdom should be the same.
