(ISV) For the creation is eagerly awaiting the revelation of God's children,

(LITV) For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God.

It is the indwelling Spirit of Christ in us that is the “Hope of Glory”. All of creation is waiting for the real sons of God to rise up and take our place. It is like there is this huge decathlon race and everyone is on the starting blocks, the gun has gone off and many still have their feet in the starting blocks. Not many are running or engaged in the race. The spectators in the stands are confused as the runners are not running and the race has already begun long ago.

All of Creation is Looking for Us

The real church is not people attending a service a couple of times a week. We are not just people who don’t swear nor drink. We are not just people who put some money in an offering plate or have bumper stickers on our cars. We are not even people who pray a plastic prayer or smile at everyone.

THE CHURCH IS A LIVING ORGANISM MADE UP OF PEOPLE FROM EVERY WALK OF LIFE, FROM EVERY COUNTRY, CREED AMD RACE WHO HAVE BEEN BORN AGAIN

The problem is we don’t know who we are and all of creation is waiting for us to find our and to take our place and begin to be Sons and Daughters.

The Church is not just natural but also supernatural

The Church is the most powerful entity on the face of the earth today! We have the Spirit of God indwelling in us, the Word of God at our disposal and the Name of Jesus Christ to give us His authority. The problem it is difficult to tell the difference between us and those outside of the family of God.

I love this verse in Malachi where the Bible speaks of a people that are obviously God's Own Jewels or Treasure.

Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Mal 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

Mal 3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Look at the very I put in bold letters! On this day it will be clear whose are His and those who are not. All of creation is groaning and anticipating this day when the God’s true people will stand up and show His Glory. We are not perfect! We are not the most beautiful or maybe even the smartest. We like Jesus, may not have anything that you might want humanly speaking.

BUT WE ARE SONS AND DAUGHTERS

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

WE HAVE ACCESS GOD IN PRAYER

Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Eph 2:18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

Eph 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

WE WRESTLE WITH THE POWERS OF DARKNESS

Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

WE ARE PRIESTS

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Pe 2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

We are the church, the body of Christ and He is the head. We are the most powerful people on the face of the earth! I am not speaking of bombs and earthly battle, but mighty people of prayer. We withstand this powerful invisible enemy by the blood of Jesus. We rebuke this enemy! We wrestle this enemy! We are people of love! We keep no record of wrong! We are humble and even weak in human terms. But we are the chosen of God! We have His Authority! We don’t live for ourselves but for Him!

Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

I am speaking this also to myself. Reminding myself of my purpose and calling in Christ. Come on Church, let’s reveal who we are to the world. All of creation is awaiting the time where we rise up and take our place.

Not just going to church

Not just saying we are the Church

But actually being the church
