Seeing Him An Encounter with Christ Part 1

Heb 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Every Christian needs to encounter the Living God and see Him for themselves. This encounter is necessary and available. This encounter takes away every single doubt. This encounter produces the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. If we look at every person in the Bible that had such an encounter, these all became something and their lives produced something for the kingdom.

Part of the function of the Bible is to provide a roadmap in written Word, with the goal to introduce us to the Living Word Jesus Christ.

The religious will discard this notion of seeing God. The person who has called themselves a Christian, but has never experienced this revelation will discount it because of pride. The truly hungry for more will go after God Like a dear that panteth after the water and will turn their face toward heaven and won’t relent or give up until they see Him.

One thing we see by reading God’s Word is the habits or character of God.

Our beginning to see Him is to study His Word

The best is prayerful study of His Word.

In God’s Word we can see that He was in the habit of showing Himself to His people.

The Israelites saw a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

Exo 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
Exo 13:22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.

Moses turned aside to see the burning bush. Encounter God and had to remove his shoes because of the Holy Ground.

Exo 3:4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
Exo 3:5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

Isaiah saw the Lord and His train filled the temple.

Isa 6:1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

Joshua saw the captain of the Host. Joshua worshipped and this was allowed. Every time someone would worship a mere angel, they were always rebuked. We are to only worship God. Joshua had an encounter with Christ.

Jos 5:14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
Jos 5:15 And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

Daniel, Jacob, Abraham, David, the Israelites heard His voice and watched the mountain, heard the thunder and saw the lightening and smoke.

These are examples in the Old Covenant of God revealing Himself to His people. Each had an unique experience. It varied in each and every instance. A unique encounter with the same God.

When we read the Bible, one aspect is that we see how God, in His unchangeable Character does things. How He interacted with man in the past. This is supposed to build a yearning in us to have the same interaction with God. Like Elisha after the chariots took away Elijah, he was on his way back across the river

2Ki 2:13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
2Ki 2:14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

Where is the God of Elijah? This is also supposed to produce the same longing and same question in us.

Where is the God of Daddy William? Where is the God of (your name)?

“You will seek me and find me. If you seek me with all of your heart. Then in the next verse He reiterates, “I will be found of you.”.

Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Jer 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
Jer 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jer 29:14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

This encounter produces

  • The fear of the Lord
  • A life of godly character
  • A person who has no doubt
  • A person who makes a difference in this world

Beacause this study is getting long I will finish here and do a few in a series.
God bless!

But do you know that the person talk to Moses is not the God itself? It was the angel of God... (^_^) Because in the time of Moses, the people who are highly regarded by them are the Angel except to God who created us.

If this was so I wonder why God says of Moses that He spoke to Moses as a friend, face to face. In the Old Testament many times we see what is called a Chrdtophany or Old Testament appearance of Christ. This is why worship was allowed by Abraham and Joshua, as they encountered God. Worship of angels is never allowed.

Exo 33:11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

This teaching will go against every religious thought in us. But we all truly need this kind of encounter with God. Available to all, sought out by few.

Hehehe... (^_^) You are right about that VERSE but there is a contradiction with that if you will not research well and compare. Try to study this... ^ _ ^

John 1:18
King James Version (KJV)
18 - No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Who is that begotten Son? That is Jesus right... ^_^
And who is John? The Apostle of Jesus right?

You can try to study more without contradiction... Then you will find out that the person who talks to Moses is not the real God itself.

But everyone saw Jesus. This is how the contradiction is solved. God, Emanuel. God with us. The Word was God and became flesh. We. Beheld Him. I am a man who studies rhe bible every single day for 36 years. I have found that most Live way below what is available in this life. Just like the verse I started with “Seeing Him that is Invisible”. It is a seeing, not only with our natural eyes. But our spirit, who is who we are. Our body is just a house. We can taste and see the Lord is Good. We have spiritual senses. This teaching will go against every religious thought. It will break our pride if we have been a Christian a long time and we have. Not had this experience. I know from God’s Word and His habit and character, He loves to reveal Himself to the humble and pure in heart. “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! I also know from personal experience that lines up with scripture. Blessings bro!

Amen.
