Other Old Testament Scriptures

So brutally tortured He did not look like a man.

Isa 52:14 Like as many were astonished at thee (his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),

But He Will Live Again rising from the dead

Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.
Isa 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.

The Teachers or Rabbis hid these verses or skimmed over them as they had no theology that could be reconciled with a Messiah that had to suffer and die.

New Testament Fulfillment in Jesus

Mat 8:17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our diseases.

Mat 20:28 even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Mat 26:28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.

AFTER BEATING HIM ANS MOCKING HIM, THEY CRUCIFIED JESUS

THEY BURIED JESUS

THEN JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD AND WAS SEEN BY MANY

The Prophecy also foresaw that many would not believe

Rom 10:16 But they did not all hearken to the glad tidings. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

1Pe 2:21 For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1Pe 2:23 who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
1Pe 2:24 who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
