Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

“YET HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH”

Foretold by the Prophet Isaiah that this Messiah would suffer and die willfully mad willfully lay down His Life for all. Some say the Jews killed Him because they turned Him over to Pilate. Some say the Romans killed Jesus because they are the ones who carried out His execution. The truth is that Jesus would not have had to die if it was not for our sins. If there was any other way that we could be forgiven and have eternal life, then Jesus did not have to die a criminal’s death. But all of the way back to the garden of Eden and even before the heavens and the earth were formed, this was the plan to save fallen mankind.

The Truth is nobody took the life of Jesus. He willfully laid His life down for you and for me! What an awesome God and Savior. It is out of love and appreciation we call Him Lord. When we are told to Love the Lord with all of our heart, soul and strength. It is not because of a far away deity that demands this love. It is because of One that is close and loving and truly is the Only One that deserves such love and appreciation.

Fulfillment in Jesus

HE COULD HAVE CALLED CALLED LEGIONS OF ANGELS BUT OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH

Mat 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
Mat 26:53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?
Mat 26:54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Mat 27:13 Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?
Mat 27:14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.
