(STEEMCHURCH) Instructions about bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem
Hello steemchurch community led by @sirknight, on this beautiful day I present a publication about the ark of the covenant, I hope it is a great blessing.
1 Chronicles 15 - THE ARK IS BROUGHT TO JERUSALEM
DAVID INSTRUCTIONS TO BRING THE ARK
15 -1 David prepares a place for the ark
David also made houses for himself in the David prepares a place for the ark of David, and he made a place for the ark of God, and he built a tent for it.
-The original tabernacle had remained in Gibeon (16: 39-40)
-David always had in mind to bring the ark so he thought of a place for her while building their houses
-It had been about three months since I had tried to bring the ark before (13: 13-14)
Whenever you do something, keep God in mind, to honor and glorify your holy name
15 -2 Then said David, The ark of God should not be carried except by the Levites; for Jehovah has chosen them to carry the ark of Jehovah, and to serve him perpetually.
God had indicated the instructions to move the ark (Numbers 4: 5, 4:15, 7: 1- 9)
(Numbers 4: 5) When the camp is to be changed, Aaron and his sons shall come and take down the veil of the tent, and cover with it the ark of the testimony;
(Numbers 4: 15) And when Aaron and his sons finish covering the sanctuary and all the utensils of the sanctuary, when the camp is to be changed, the sons of Kohath shall come after them to carry them; but they will not touch holy thing, lest they die. These will be the burdens of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of meeting.
(Numbers 7: 1-9) 1 It happened that when Moses finished raising the tabernacle, he anointed it and sanctified it along with all its utensils. He also anointed and sanctified the altar and all its utensils. 2 Then the princes of Israel, the heads of the house of their fathers, who were the princes of the tribes that were over the recorded in the census, came near 3 and brought their offerings before the LORD: six covered wagons and twelve oxen ; for each two princes one chariot, and for each one an ox, and they offered them before the Tabernacle. 4 The LORD spoke to Moses and said, 5 "Receive them from them: they will be for the service of the Tabernacle of meeting. You shall give them to the Levites, to each according to his ministry. " 6 Then Moses received the chariots and the oxen, and gave them to the Levites. 7 To the sons of Gershon he gave two chariots and four oxen, according to his ministry, 8 and he gave to the sons of Merari four
chariots and eight oxen, according to his ministry, under the direction of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest. 9 But he did not give the sons of Kohath because they had to carry the most holy things on their shoulders.
-David learned from the first failure, now he had investigated how to bring the ark in the right way.
-Learn of your failures, but you are bound to make the same mistakes
-Investigate how to do things God's way, not just do it with good intentions.
-God had appointed specific people to do the work of moving the ark. All we can help in the work of the Lord, but there are positions for specific people (1 Peter 4: 10-11)
-Do the work God has commanded him to do, he has trained him, because the order is irrevocable (Romanos 11:29)
15: 3-11 David gathers all Israel to bring the ark:
It was important and that all Israel was responsible, so David called all the people (v. 3)
-The things of God are important, so it is necessary to let everyone know without distinction
-The children of Aaron were responsible for being priests (v. 4)
-The Levites were destined to serve God
-The sons of Kohath were those who carried the ark on their shoulders
15: 12-14 David asks the Levites and priests to sanctify themselves
-Santify yourselves, you and your brothers ... To sanctify oneself was to purify oneself, to separate oneself from the dirty (Lev 16:19) (v. 12)
-In the Old Testament I could include sanctification:
Sexual abstinence (Exodus 19:15)
Dirty clothes (Exodus 19:14)
-The people in charge of transporting the ark had to purify themselves, they had to turn away from all evil
-David understood that not only was doing the right thing but also being clean internally
We are priests of our home, we have a great responsibility and we must sanctify ourselves day by day
-For not having done so ... David acknowledged that they paid a great price for not doing it well (v. 13)
- On that occasion Uza died for doing something with good intention but wrong (13: 9-10)
-David learned that he should consult God, but he did not, he only commented on it (13: 2-3)
-Consult God in every step you take, so that it is a safe step and does not slip, even when it looks like solid ground
-David acknowledged his sin, confessed it and turned away from him (Pr 28:13)
-Don't remain submerged in failure, confess your sin and turn away from it to reach mercy
-They were sanctified ... Both the priests and the Levites attended to the order of David and purified themselves (v. 14)
15:15 The ark is brought on the shoulders
- Put on your shoulders in the bars ... The ark should not be touched because of that the bars were used (v. 15)
-The ark was transported correctly, as God had established in his word (Numbers 7: 9)
-David had made the mistake of not consulting the word of God, but now that he did everything went well (Joshua 1: 8)
-Make sure that what you are doing is according to the word of God, so that you may be blessed by God
After bringing the ark to jerusalem there was a great celebration:
15: 16-24 David asks that they be called cantors
-David was a great musician and composer, he loved to worship God through music
-David implemented a worship group to transport the ark with reverence but also with joy and music
- Praise God with joy but do not leave the solemnity and reverence
15: 25-26 God helps those who transported the ark
-The house of Obed-edom ... There they put the ark when they could not bring it the 1st time (13:14)
-The time that the ark was in the house of Obed-edom was prospered by God
-The ark represented the presence of God and the presence of God brings blessing and prosperity
- God was so pleased with what he was doing that he himself helped them (v. 26)
-When we do things right, God gets involved and the work is blessed
-Sacrificing: It was so solemn that every seven steps they made a sacrifice (2 Samuel 6) (v. 26)
15: 27-28 The ark is carried with jubilation
-David was dressed in fine linen; David wore a very special outfit because the event required it (v. 27)
-The fine linen was used by the priests, as well as the linen efof (vest) that he wore
-The bride of Jesus Christ who is the church will also dress in fine linen (Rev 19: 8)
15:28 Michal disparages David
-I saw King David who jumped and danced ... Michal felt shame for David (v. 29)
-Usually the women were the ones who danced, not the men, this explains the reason why Mical got upset
-A so, is not justified as Michal spoke to her husband and king of Israel
Mical felt contempt for David, no doubt he did not feel the same for him, as when he saved his life.
-The truth is that it displeased God and was sterile for the rest of his days, this was a very big pain for a woman.
-The woman must respect her husband (Ephesians 5:22, 5:33, Col 3:18)
In Conclusion:
The ark of the covenant represents the presence of God in our lives, for this reason we must sanctify ourselves because we are bearers of his presence.
be obedient; sacrifice represents obedience.
When we are obedient to the word of God and seek to do his will and not ours, that leads us to holiness, therefore we become bearers of his presence. That sanctity and that presence is reflected in the prosperity that we can have and show the world.
When you and I prepare to worship God then the heavens open and the kingdom of God is established on earth and the early and late rain falls, the reward comes, prosperity comes to your life in every way. never refuse to worship God as did Michal, the wife of King David.
I hope this study is a blessing. God bless you and prosper you with every blessing from above. Amen!!!
David had a passion and a love for God that is rarely found today. We only wish that in our own heart there is that love and passion for God that David had. We value your effort and we find this publication of which has been little mentioned. We have an ark in our interior, because we are living temples. records that when the Ark of the Lord was established on Mount Zion, Obed-edom was one of the chief gatekeepers and guardians of the temple, Hallelujah. He served Jehovah and his descendants as well. Opening the home as an altar of worship guarantees that the Lord will use us with power and will give our descendants a beautiful place of service for Him. Glory to the Lord!

Very beautiful reflection, for me it is an honor to be able to share this type of teachings, which for me have been a great blessing in my daily life under the will of God. I bless you with all blessings from above in the name of JESUS OF NAZARETH !!!
This topic seemed very important to David and to the Lord. It is mentioned many times in the books of Samuel and Psalms. The ark of the covenant symbolizes Christ, there was what Christ had in his heart: the manna, the rod of Aaron and the tables of the covenant. The manna symbolizes Christ in his word, He is bread from heaven. The rod of Aaron is a symbol that Christ is the firstborn, HE is the resurrection.
this is @darlenis only the mana, the rod of Aaron and the commandments written on tablets was what contained inside the ark of the covenant, the ark was the presence of God in those times, no person who was not in holiness could approach to the ark, we can read in 1 Chronicles 13:11 the event of Uza, who for having touched the ark perished immediately. the presence of God represents holiness, without holiness no one will see God Hebrews 12:14. May God continue to bless you in all areas of your life.
Self sanctification is really necessary for believers. Relating this to the ark of God is a really excellent analysis.
Amen!!! blessing
When we obey God's word and seek to do his will ,we become filled with his presence. That presence is shown in the prosperity that we can have and show to the world.

This is very true, it represents the God presence in our lives, thanks for this post, learnt something today
I am very happy that you have learned a small portion about the presence of God, many blessings for your life.
God's the most trusted and in him we should be sure of great things happening to us. The road might seem all rough at first but in the end we are sure he would manifest in our life. One thing for sure is that he prepares us for what is ahead.
we must be constant in having an intimate communion with him, and this is how he will respond with tremendous blessings, continuous adoration to him and doing his will breaks all darkness, removes all obstacles and brings down the Kingdom of God to our lives . God bless you every day of your life and your family.
