This is why Paul tells us that we must leave room for the wrath of God. When we take revenge for ourselves we are substituting the wrath of God for ours; we are not leaving room for the wrath of God. And what is even more terrible: we are doubting the justice of God.

The word of God says in Psalm 37:28 For the Lord loves justice and does not abandon those who are faithful to him; but it destroys the wicked and leaves them without offspring. In a single promise shows us exactly that justice and revenge are his.
