The Call Of a Sinner

O God, who by your mercy have chosen Mathew the publican, who welcomed our Saviour in his home as a guest and have appointed him as a herald of the Gospel, grant also to us, through his example and his intercession, to persevere in our Christian vocation so as to follow you faithfully all the days of our life. Amen.

Mark 2:13-14
"He went out again by the sea; and all the crowd came to him, and he taught them. As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, seated at the tax-booth, and said to him, 'Follow me!' so getting up, he followed him."
