When scientists look for signs of any kind of life in extraterrestrial worlds, usually the first thing they look for is evidence of water. Life as we know it on earth would not be possible without water. In the bible, water is intimately associated with both physical and spiritual life.

The notion of living Water has a significant importance in sacred writing.
Just as the ability to move by itself, as a key component of the living organism, is named, one could say of running water, especially the water of God. My people have committed two evils: They have forgotten me, the source of living water, they have dug a cistern, broken cistern that can not hold water (John 2:13).

In the Gospel of John, when Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well, he tells her that he can give her living water, water of such a nature that she will never thirst anymore (John 4: 1-14).

WAYS TO DRINK OF THE LIVING WATER OF GOD:

• Give thanks to God: We can drink the living water by giving thanks to God.
• Summon his name: The next way to drink revealed in (Isaiah 12) is to invoke the name of the Lord
• Make their works known among the peoples: We can also drink by making their works known among the peoples

REFLECTION:

To receive the living waters of God alone and to delight in his presence and have an intimacy with him, and tell them how much you want him to fill you with its waters, because, as you ask and be a blessing for your life God will he will deliver it, blessings.
