Marcos Vidal Roloff (Frankfurt am Main, Germany, December 10, 1971) 1 singer, pastor of the Evangelical Salem Church, composer, pianist, writer and artist. Son of Manuel Vidal and Ana Roloff, brother of Miriam, Tirsa and Dan, it should be noted that he was taken to Madrid, Spain at a very young age where he has practically resided all his life. It could be said that since his childhood he began his musical career in 1984, since he was 13 years old and played an important role in the musical area of the Salem Evangelical Church, which his father was pastoring. Over the years, what began as a service in a local church, became a nationwide ministry when he was 19 years old.
In 1990 his first musical production came to light: "Buscadme y viviréis". Previously he had recorded a cassette titled "Beyond the border". "Buscadme y vivéis" gathers the first songs with which the composer influenced notably among Spanish Christians.
Marcos, although qualified with honors in the piano career, by the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, bets, once again, to compensate for his successful professionalism with the studies of the Berea Biblical Institute of Germany. The final result is the beginning, at the age of 26, of a new call: the pastoral ministry, following the legacy of his father in 1992.
In 1993 his second album "Nada especial" appeared on CD, with the New Media label, which, together with his first production, manages to take the singer to the American continent. This international recognition leads him to work with the company Sparrow Records and in this way Marcos Vidal is consecrated as the first Christian Spanish singer who signs with an American company. The previous works are reissued for the American market: "Buscadme y viviréis" and "Nada especial".
In 1996 "Cara a cara", his first album under the label of Sparrow Records, is consolidated as one of the most sold Christian productions in Spanish in the world, exceeding in a few months the 100,000 copies sold. For this reason, in 1997, he was awarded the "International GMA Award" for the best international singer of non-English speaking. Also in 1997, Marcos edits his fourth album "Mi Regalo" and is nominated for the "Dove Awards" in the category: Best album of the year in Spanish
