Funky
Funky
His real name is Luis Marrero Cosme, Puerto Rican by birth. Passionate about music. Father, husband, son and a man determined to communicate the message of God through his rhythm, that is Funky.
Currently Funky's music has penetrated the market with great impact. Places such as Puerto Rico, the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Colombia and Latin America in general have been influenced by their rap style. For the 1990s, when he was only 15 years old, Funky enjoyed performing musical imitations, his greatest inspiration being Vico C.
He learned his songs and became popular imitating him. So he was often invited to parties and activities. For 1995 Funky moves to live in the United States, with his wife and children. As a result of his musical experiences Funky made his first production "Stilo" in 1997. Already based in Orlando, and as things of life, Funky meets one of the dancers of Vico, who eventually manages to present them. With that friendship grew his admiration for the singer and new gaps are opened. In January of 1998 and after a great following by Vico, Funky decides to embrace the faith in Jesus and get involved in the music of this. That's how they become not only friends but also daisies.
As part of this stage Funky shared three songs on the album "He who had died" as well as being co-producer of it. As a result of the more than five hundred thousand copies sold of that disc, the doors as a producer for Funky opened wide.
Since then Funky specializes as a music producer and owns his own studio of recordings. The experience with Vico helped him to perfect his knowledge in the genre and to develop his own musical style.
In May of the 2002 Vida Music sends to the market its first album like soloist. The album titled "Funkytown" is a project influenced by rap in different styles: salsa, reggae, House and R & B. Songs like "Funkytown" "Give your hand" have been some of the most talked about topics in the radio, as well as his participation with Rene González on the theme "After the fall". Vida Music made the video clip of the song "Funkytown" in Russia. In it, a fresh, modern and youthful image of the well-known singer is projected.
With this song, the markets are expanded and new doors are opened to Latin America. The worldwide launch of the Video was launched through the Costa Rica Link Chain, which transmits to more than twenty countries in Latin America, Europe and Africa. In addition, the video clip was scheduled with great success on the well-known video channel VH1 of the MTV Network.
