Do not forget to thank
Greetings beloved brother of Steemchurch some days without being able to be with you but my time has been completely occupied with Lady Maria the mother of my beloved Emilio who as you know is very delicate health.
Today I want to invite you to venture on the path of gratitude. The apostle Paul spoke to the church of the Thessalonians: "Give thanks in every situation, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus" (5:18), but the way to follow this path without even deviating from their streets?
Living constantly remaining in a state of gratitude is certainly a gift of the Holy Spirit can only those who live it, because the world teaches us to live permanently in the frantic pursuit of more dissatisfied generation for unfulfilled goals and little gratitude for blessings received free of a Father of love.
From children we are forged to always want the best and always more than necessary. It is wrong? Analyze yourself.
As for teenagers, they are encouraged to have the best grades in school, best friends, the best girlfriend or boyfriend, as well as choose the best university, have the best clothes, get the best job, etc.
When this is not possible for any reason, or at least, in the comparison pattern the grade is lower, the man or woman is entitled as a failure and this generates unprecedented discontent. It is through this incessant search that many malcontents become bitter and depressed by choosing paths that lead to death.
Before the pattern of the world, the counsel of the Word of God is:
"Do not store up for yourselves other treasures in the earth, where moth and rust are destroyed, and where thieves burned for robbery, but store up treasures in heaven, where moth and rust corrupt, and where thieves do not enter and roubam. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be "(Matthew 6,19-21).
We are challenged to have our roots in heaven and not very deep on earth.
Gratitude in the Bible
The celestial pattern and the pattern that must be sought by every disciple of Jesus is the pattern taught by Jesus himself, a teacher who had nowhere to rest his head, but still gave thanks in a more delicate moment of his life for being the sacrificial offer in favor of the justification of the sins of the whole world, in a moment even after having experienced the most cowardly attitude of a dear friend - betrayal:
"For I received from the Lord what I also gave you: that the Lord Jesus on the night he was betrayed, took the bread and having given thanks he broke it and said: This is my body that is given for you, do it in I remember "- (1 Corinthians 11.23-24).
This is to be grateful in any situation to understand that you are living the purposes of God.
Living in the line of God's will does not mean exemption from problems, on the contrary, it means being in their constant and protective company. To be in that place is to have the heart saved from bitterness and grateful to understand that everything is his permission. To live according to God's will is to live for purposes greater than ourselves and thus be grateful because we are called by Him.
Gratitude to God
The Eternal takes care of us in the details and we invite you to stop and list the reasons you have to thank Him, because we can guarantee that the reasons for gratitude will be much greater than the reasons for great murmuring.
Oh, and even if you have experienced what you did not want to have experienced, know that today you may not understand, but God allowed it is for love and / or preservation of your life. There are hidden things that we do not understand, we just need to trust and thank because He knows what is best for each of us always.
Beloved brothers, stay with the Lord. Do not forget to thank in everything.
