Communion Between Them

Hello to all my brothers, Welcome to this study where I share an important theme for the common Church. "The Communion Among The Brothers"

In this preaching on communion, we will see that Christianity is not to be lived alone. The more you have intimacy with Jesus, the closer you will be to the brothers and the people.

The way to demonstrate our intimacy with God is in communion with the brothers. "If, however, we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we keep communion with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his son, purifies us from all sin."

Why is communion so important?

God did not make us to live alone. He made it clear that he wants us to live together, when he says that we are family, members of the same body. No matter how well you do things: if you are an individualist and have no communion with the Church, you are out of God's will. Without communion, you are a brick outside the building, a member outside the body, a soldier lost on the battlefield!

The Bible teaches that we are from the family of God: Gl 6:10 "Therefore, as long as we have an opportunity, let us do good to all, but especially to those of the family of faith." Ef. 2:19 "So you are no longer foreigners and pilgrims, but fellow citizens of the saints, and you are of the family of God." What unites his natural brothers is much more than living under the same roof. You carry the same genetic load of your family. The same applies to the Church. We are a family, not only because we worship God in the same place, but because we share the same life that comes from Christ, we have the same spiritual genes, we have the same Father.

Just as a child learns with his parents and older brothers, you also need brothers in the Church to grow in God. There are churches where people go only to seek a blessing. This is not being Church. Also, only that does not help anyone to grow. There are times when you need to be corrected, motivated or encouraged, sometimes charged and, many times, forgiven.

To grow, you need to have commitment and relationship with God and the only way to have them is through your body, the Church. The word communion, in the original Greek, is Koinonia, and literally means shared life. But when we have communion, it is as if the various parts come together and form a whole. We all need to share our life and feel part of a community. We never get to have communion with everyone except in the Spirit, but in small groups we can know the brothers better and be known.

What's wrong with an ember alone, outside the brazier? And what soldier who goes alone to war? The communion of the Church is spiritual security; it's better to be two than one.

Ec 4: 9-12 "It is better to be two than one, because he has a better reward from his work, for if they fall, one raises up one's companion, but that which is alone, because, falling, there will be no one to raise him up. If two sleep together, they will warm up, but only one will warm up If someone wants to prevail against one, the two will resist him, the three-fold cord does not overflow easily.

The Church is the body of Christ and it is through her that Jesus expresses himself. That is why He said in Mt 18: 19-20, "Truly, I tell you also, if two of you on earth agree about anything that, by asking, will be granted to you by my Father, who is in heaven. where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in their midst.

In a way, being out of communion is being away from the presence of the Lord. There are certain prayers that will only be answered if we pray together, in harmony, in communion. There is a lot you can do alone, but it can not be that way at all. Jesus gave the example. He did not do everything alone and he did not walk alone.

In John 17:21, Jesus asks the Father that the brothers be one, just as He and the Father are one. "That they may all be one, and as you are, Father, in me and I in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me." The world will only believe in Jesus if we live a life of communion and unity. Communion gains more people to the kingdom of God. Jesus said that we would be recognized as his disciples if we have love for one another. Jn 13:35 "By this all will know that you are my disciples: if you have love for one another."

And they persevered in the doctrine of the apostles, in communion with one another, in the breaking of bread and in prayers. Acts 2:42
