Imagine that you have entered the best French restaurant that you have been recommended, hungry and willing to try the most expensive dish, since you are blessed to enjoy it. They serve the dish and with a desire to taste it, he realizes that a glass full of water has more flavor than what he has been served.
How would it feel? This is something that does not make sense to you, right? But this is what happens when a Christian, whom Jesus named as the salt of the earth, stops knowing Christ and begins to be like the others who have no taste.
Salt represents the gospel, we are the ones who take charge of spicing the lives of others, of giving them meaning by bringing the word of God into their lives, just as our life now makes sense, thanks to Jesus.
Remember that every time we open our lips to show the power of God, and fulfill the great commission, what we are doing now is spreading salt to this world (Matthew 28: 19-20).
So why is it that Jesus talks about salt losing its essence and not salting? Just to take into account, the salt is a mineral and comes from salt or sea mines, it is very consumed by us, since it has the property of preserving or spicing food.
Moreover, in ancient times the salt was highly valued, and its production was legally restricted, so historically it was used as a method of trade and currency. Can you imagine this, pay with salt?
In addition, in the Old Testament, the word of God names her in several important opportunities that are worth considering, represented in her something specific:
I. Represent Punishment:
In Genesis 19:26 we see that Lot's wife, because she did not let go of the sin in which she lived and the comforts of that world, turned to look at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and that's where she became a statue of salt.
Jesus also warns him in Luke 17:32, where he tells us not to seek the things of this world, because if we seek to save the life we have we will lose it, but whoever loses it will be saved. Everything we leave to please God will be worth it ..
II. Represent offering:
In Leviticus 2:13 God instructed Moses how he should present the offering, and that it should be seasoned and the salt of the covenant could never be missed; which means that we are also an offering that we present before God without missing in our mouth, and in our lives, that Jesus is our Lord, since He is the eternal covenant who communicates with God thanks to His sacrifice on the cross.
III. I represent Health:
In 2 Kings 2: 19-22, Elisha after receiving the double portion of the spirit that fell on Elijah, who was caught, acted in favor of some springs, whose waters were bad, spreading salt on them in this way they were purified and healthy the sterile earth.
What it means is that the word of God gives healing, and we are the ones who scatter it for those people who are like springs of bad waters and that their lives will be healed just as we had when we believed in Jesus.

In the same way that salt was used to stop the corruptive process in food, so we, the church, stop with our presence the decomposition of our society. Christianity is the salt of the earth, spreading the hope of Gospel to all men! Faithful believers are a great blessing to the world because through them, the world is seasoned with the message of eternal life! Not only are we called to teach the gospel, but to live lives worthy of the gospel (Col. 1:10).
I do not understand your topic, you should edid it! But salt is significant in the bible espervially with the story of lots wife!
We are the salt of the earth, not only do we need to flavor the lives of people. We shouldn't lose our flavor. That means we must constantly maintain our flavor which is our knowledge of God's word.
Good message, the salt preserved food in the ancient world, Christians are called to preserve the environment where we live, where there is peace, unity and tolerance, blessing.
