DO WE KNOW THE POWER OF WORDS IN OUR LIVES?

Hello dear steemians, today i will be bringing to you guys another great christian topic.
I will telling us a little about the power of words, and how they affect lives.
Spoken words are pictures in the making. The bible also said that life and death are in the power of the tongue.
We have at our disposal a power that can change
lives, make a sick spirit healthy, encourage success,
guide those who need it.

It was words that Jezebel sent to Elijah, that he would be killed within 24hours. The verse in 1kings 19:3 says "And he saw that, he arose and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there".

But this verse states that Elijah " saw that". That means the words sent to him had literally become 'flesh' . This is why words are so powerful; they can transmute themselves to anything, positive or negative, constructive or destructive.

Anyway, the word that Elijah 'saw' was the reason he fled. Fear took a hold of him; and that eventually led to heavy discouragement as he began to entertain suicidal thoughts. But when he encountered the Lord on mount Carmel, Elijah was ready and willing to return.to town.
Jezebel was still around ; as a matter of fact , the death sentence placed on the prophet was still subsisting.
HOW DID HE OVERCOME THE GHOST OF IMPENDING DOOM??
He had a word from the lord!. On the Mount , God gave the prophet a new direction. He went on from there to do several other miracles before he was taken to heaven in style. He moved from fear to exploit because of the word of God he heard.

The Word of God is powerful, because it is
guaranteed by God to be effective.
Words, spoken or written, still hold power today.
They can inspire us to achieve goals or they can hold
us back from even trying. One simple sentence can
make a difference in how a situation is perceived.
