HARNESSING THE POWER OF YOUR WORDS.

Your life is the result of the words you've spoken overtime whether positive or negative.

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

In the beginning, the first words recorded that God spoke were to bring forth creation. That's to say that the primary purpose of our mouth is not for eating but for talking; not just empty words but words that have the ability to bring forth what we speak.

A lot of times, we are faced with contrary situations and we either find ourselves speaking negatively or complaining. That doesn't change anything. We didn't find God complaining about the chaotic state of the earth or the darkness that was in it. He caused a change showing us that we too can recreate our worlds with words; words that are in sync with His word.

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

One way to prove that we are God's children is to follow the pattern that He has set for us in his word. How???
Framing our world through the words of our mouth. You don't wait for your situation to change before speaking positively. You speak what you want to see not how you feel or what you see with the optical.

I've often heard people say I don't want to deceive myself by saying what is not real. There's more to life than meets the eye. Our basis for measuring reality should be God's word not our feelings or our senses. Feelings are like weather and are subject to fluctuations. God's word has integrity and never fails (Isaiah 55:11).

As a Christian, you may ask, does it matter what we say? What if I don't mean it?

Proverbs 18:21...death and life are in the power of the tongue.

That is to say that It matters what we say because our words are not ordinary. We can either Mar or build our lives through the power of words. Each time we speak, we are planting seeds. Every fruit or harvest is a result of the seed sown. Just like you can't plant maize and harvest rice, you can't keep speaking negatively and expect your life to turn out positive or your situation to take an opposite turn. Your situation can only change in relation to your words.

Consistently train yourself to speak right and in consonance with God's provision for you. Where do you see yourself in the future, speak it into existence just like God did.
