The sword of God is more powerful than anyone can imagine, and was made to fight against the evil that exists in the world
Where does the word sword of god come from?
The phrase "the sword of God" is mentioned only once in the Scriptures in Ephesians 6:17. The sword is part of the spiritual armor that Paul exhorts Christians to use, to be prepared to fight effectively against the evil one.
The Word is also called the sword in Hebrews 4:12. Here, the Word is described as "... living and effective and sharper than any two-edged sword." The Roman sword was commonly double-edged, making it more effective for piercing and cutting on both sides. The idea of the Scripture to penetrate, means that the Word of God reaches the "heart," the very center of the action, and leaves exposed the motives and feelings of those who touch.

to buttress the power of the word of God , many have changed their worldly pattern of life for the better as they continued to study the word of God. so it really is sharper than any two edged sword that pierces even to the dividing of bones. i know of some who have quit smoking and drinking nad even immoral life styles because the studied and meditated on the bible.
The sword of God is the word of God, it is live and part of the armour of God which believers will use to withstand the fiery darts of the devil and to overcome. I feel blessed to have found Steemchurch today. Thank you for sharing
