Hello everyone, God bless you. I want to share with you a very nice topic because it is the reason why anyone who professes a Christian Faith can have the hope and the certainty that when he finishes his days on earth he will have access to live what we know as eternal life . The topic that I want to share with you is entitled "Salvo" and I am looking for with this to teach you some important parameters to know about what is the salvation of our souls.

It is important to know that God knowing that from the beginning the hearts of men were inclined to do evil, which caused the wrath of God on many people, cities and towns. We have as an example of this what Noah lived and all that generation who was severely punished by God because of sin (Genesis chapters 6, 7, 8 and 9. We can also see what happened with Sodom and Gomorrah which were destroyed by the perversities that occurred there (Genesis chapters 18 and 19), but knowing God the wickedness of man always brought salvation to them so as not to destroy all creation. This has continued to happen to the present, God even in these days where there is much evil and people with hearts totally away from him, gives us the opportunity to obtain salvation.

The Bible teaches us in John 3: 16-18, the following:

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost, but may have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved by him. 18 He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Understanding that through Jesus is that we achieve the salvation of our lives we must know certain things about salvation:

The past life

When we talk about past life we refer to the time in which we lived without knowing God and our way of living was completely sinful, without any fear and with a destiny of perdition.

Ephesians 2: 1-5 teaches us:
2 And he gave you life, when you were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you went in another time, following the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now operates in the children of disobedience, 3 among whom also all of us once lived in the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the thoughts, and were by nature children of wrath, as well as others.4 But God , who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, 5 even though we were dead in sins, he gave us life together with Christ (by grace you are saved),

The work of God

As we accept Christ in our lives, new things begin to happen in our lives, many of these happen without our realizing it. Examples of this can be found in details such as saying bad words, when God begins to dwell in our lives things like these begin to disappear due to the work He is doing in us as we allow it. That is why we can see people who know the God abandon the vices and all kinds of bad habits, this is not because religion does not allow it or someone to brainwash, this happens in a genuine way by the work of God in our lives.

Ephesians 2: 4-5: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, 5 even though we were dead in sins, he gave us life together with Christ (by grace you are saved),
God decided that our salvation was not because of how good you are because we all sin and that takes us away from God. We receive salvation by grace through faith.

Ephesians 2: 8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.

Grace means unearned gift, this shows that God has given us salvation as a gift of our faith in him and not by our works. Many people think that they will be saved or they will win heaven only because they have done good deeds on earth or do charities or because they have never killed or stolen and this is not the case. The Bible teaches us that it is because of his graces that we acquired from the day we surrender our hearts to Christ.

My new life in Christ

John 1:12 are teaches something very beautiful that happens when we approach God:
12 But to all who believe, to those who believe in his name, he has given them the right to become children of God;

As we begin to live a new life in Christ we have the reward of being children of God.

John 5:24
24 Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life; and it will not come to condemnation, but it has passed from death to life.

The greatest title we can obtain is not that of doctor, engineer, teacher or within the church being a pastor, prophet or evangelist. The greatest title is having the happiness of being called the son of God.

Knowing that through Christ we have obtained salvation we must remember that we are not saved by works but to do good works.

Ephesians 2:10 says:
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
