I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in Heaven over one sinner who repent than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Like wise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repent (Luke 15: 7, 10)

Strange statements from Jesus. We all thought that Heaven is overflowing with endless joy, while earth is filed with sadness, sorrows and anguish without bounds. But these statements from Jesus imply that you and I can cause Heaven to be sad and filled with sorrow, or to rejoice and filled with delight. That is how much our lives, actions, behaviour and attitudes influence and impact a place called Heaven, even though we have not been there physically.
It is even telling and revealing that it's not just the holy angels who are much affected by our lives this way, but Somebody else. For in the presence of the angels of God means that these angels are before the Throne, surrendering it in huge and multitude numbers and be holding Him, the Person, who sits on the throne in glamour, power, glory and majesty.

And instead of Him rejoicing over His creature on earth, rather His emotion turns to sadness and sorrow because of this valued creature of His. This is amazing, and is the greatest achievement a man can achieve on earth: to cause the Most High God, the Lord of Hosts, the Possessor of heavens and earth, to be sad on His holy, glorious and exalted throne before His holy angels. It's sombre, man. And the opposite is also marvellous and overwhelming, to cause Him to rejoice on His throne before these same angels. Wow. Hallelujah.

Let me give you a little insight to this.
Nehemiah to the Jews that 'the you of the Lord is your strength (Neh 8; 10). Implying that it's to your advantage to cause God to rejoice in Heaven. It becomes a strength on your behalf and pave the way for Heaven, God and His angels, to move on your behalf.
The opposite is serious and dangerous. To cause Heaven to be sad, and grieved, means you are in danger of destruction. We are to that the actions of men grieved the heart of God and filled it with sorrow and He repent of Himself that He made mankind, and promised to destroy them and He did with overwhelming floods of water (Gen 6: 5 -7).

Let's us therefore resolve from today, to cause joy in the presence of the angels of God in Heaven, for that is our strength, as we go about living life. And let's repent from all wickedness and evil so that we don't continually grieve the heart of God and cause sadness and sorrow in Heaven for our destruction.
So as you go through the day and live life, resolve to cause joy in Heaven.
May you life bring joy in Heaven today and may you repent from all that offend God and man.
And you you have great advantage and strength from the Throne of God in Jesus name. Amen

Thank you Father for what our lives can do in Heaven. Help us Lord to begin each day with repentance and resolve to cause joy in Heaven.
And may all that we do today be for our advantage and strength from Heaven's perspective in Jesus name. Amen
