PARTAKERS OF ABRAHAM'S BLESSINGS

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written in the law, Cursed is every one who hangs on a tree), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3: 13 -14)

Most of us don't know or understand the ins and outs of scriptures and spiritual things so we are not able to make use of it. It's similar to the story that is told of the people in southern Africa, that before the Europeans came there, they were using diamonds in the catapult to shoot birds, or that of black people in Texas, that Abraham Lincoln signed the Emancipation Act, freeing them from slavery, and for two whole years they continued to be slaves because they did not know it until somebody came to tell them. The story of Esau is even revealing, he didn't know the use of birthright and all that it could do for him, so he just gave it out for a plate of food! We all know what happened afterwards.
These are life stories of people but they hold a great perspective for us in relation to being a Christian and being in Christ. The scriptures tell us that Jesus was crucified for a reason, to lift us from the curse of both the sin and the law, and to pave the way for those who were not part of Israel to become partakers of the covenant blessings given to Abraham. God has already given His promise to Abraham, that "in him all the nations of the world shall be blessed (Gal 3: 8). Paul testified that it was a gospel that God preached to him for our benefit. And that one who makes that blessing possible and available is the Seed of Abraham to whom that promise and gospel find fulfilment, that is Christ Jesus.

And now that you and I are in Christ, the question becomes, "Do we know the blessings of Abraham and how are we making use of them? Are we selling ourselves short of them like Esau? Do we continue to function and live as slaves while as emancipation has been proclaimed for us in the Supreme Court of the Universe?
My goal for this devotion is to help us begin to embrace the purpose and the will of God for us as prescribed for us in the scriptures. Therefore I urge you to seek these things out and believe God for their appropriation in your life. For this is our prophetic destiny in Christ.
May the Lord help you to grasp these truths and enable you access their blessings and promises in Jesus name. And may the blessings of Abraham enlarge you and fill your life to the overflow in blessing others in Jesus name. Amen
Shalom, life and grace to you

Most of us don't know or understand the ins and outs of scriptures and spiritual things so we are not able to make use of it...........I believe this is laziness on the part of many believers to study the scriptures to discover scriptural truth and to know the things that are rightfully theirs.
