WORKING FOR GOD.

Working for the Lord means that even if you have an employer, you should see Jesus as your employer and not person who is your earthly boss. Daniel again exemplified this principle while serving the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar. Recall that Daniel and the rest of the children of God were taken to Babylon by King Nebuchadnezzar and they remain in exile there. When Daniel was about to interpret a dream for the king he felt sad because of its terrible meaning for the king. He said to the king” My Lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!(Daniel 4:19-20). One of the clear indicators of doing your work as to God is that love naturally flows out from you to everyone around you, because God Himself is love (1 John 4:8). How could Daniel possibly have loved the man who killed his parents and took his people captive if not for supernatural love? Walking in love is one of the ways of taking charge in the market place.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23 (New international Version).
In Potiphar’s house, joseph was working for the Lord. And that is why the Lord as with him. Joseph did not see Potiphar as a slave trader; rather he saw Potiphar as also working for the Lord. So Joseph had an earthly boss who may have had his flaws, but his ultimate commitment was to his Heavenly Boss who can never have any flaws.
In practical terms, it also applies to us today; we should love people unconditionally- including our bosses, even when they do not treat us fairly.
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Do all things without grumbling or questioning, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.
Philippians 2:12-16
Our life as christians already means we have surrendered ourselves to God which makes us automatic workers for God. So i feel each christian should review his or her life and if there has been no work done for God then they should start working.
