Drew Brees Roasted for "Bring your Bible to School Day" Ad
NFL quarterback Drew Brees, recently did a 15 second advertisement encouraging kids to bring their bible to school, and share their faith, and the LGBTQ community lost their mind.
Brees shared his favourite verse 2 Corinthians 5:7, and used it to encourage kids to boldly share their faith.

Apparently this ad was in association with Focus on the Family, in anticipation of October 4th, which is "Bring your Bible to school day". The ad was very clearly moderate, and by no means judgmental yet it spawned significant outrage.
I heard about this controversy through my daily YouTube diet, and so I have shared the link. In this video Amazing Lucas explains the controversy and gives his take.

People are sick and tired of this is anti-G, or this is a 'hate group'... it all boils down from having a dissenting opinion, a dissenting opinion that the mainstream narrative doesn't bolster. And because of that you are seen as a 'phobe' or an 'ist', or hate-monger or whatever it is... people are sick and tired of be labeled for not agreeing..."
"There are certain groups that you can't criticize and those are the groups who have the power. How do you determine who has the power, how do you determine who controls you? You figure out real quick by who you can and can't criticize."

For real, its literally hate too. Notice too how leftists always strawman the argument, they'll say, Drew Brees said "anti-LGBT comments", no he said I am a christian. Or they'll say, Focus on the Family is famous for being "bigotted against LGBT", no they just believe that marriage is between a man and woman. They dont hate gays.
Its a strawman. Just like the word: homo-phobia... no one is "afraid" of homosexuals, therefore no one is homo-phobic. But that's how they frame the Christian world-view, which implies intolerance, prejudice and hatred from the Christian, at the outset. Making the religious perspective seem unfair or hateful.
Sad.

Yea. They say they want to be "accepted", but looking at groups like those condemning Drew Brees, Focus on the Family and Chick-fil-A, it seems as if, they are seeking more than acceptance, they are seeking "approval".
That's a big difference:
Acceptance is a fair request, approval is not.
