Jesus My Crush --Day 3 of 100 Days Poetry Challenge

He took the pains for me on the cross
He offered me the gains from the cross
He went through the torture and rupture
His goal was to make me ready for rapture

He went to the cross just to free me from the curse of the Law
His pieced side left him in pieces to leave me in peace
His nailed hands was a signature to free me from the Law
He took the vinegar on my behalf so I can rise again

My sins were taken away because He died on the cross
My appearance was stainless because he died on the cross
My nature was a definition of reproach and shame
My shame He took away leaving me with fame

My sins so terrible and red like crimsons
His blood was stainless perfect for my cleansing
My guilt so many that he collected many strokes
His love so bountiful that he gave me in stocks

It was the cross that crushed him to make him my crush
Often time I despised his pains taking him again to the cross
Often time I have crushed this crush of mine forgetting the cross
Crush me Lord till I become that perfect crush of yours
