STEEMCHURCH: Sin of False Accusations
As humans, when we were created by God, we were born with sin and we grow with the tendency to commit sin. One very sin that is rampant is False Accusations. In the world today, people lie about occurrences to start a conflict or jokingly. Whichever way it is done, false accusations is a Big Sin and we do not need the Bible to tell us if it is or not.
According to the Law of Moses, when a person accuses another falsely, there are grave consequences for that. Even in the Ten Commandments, false accusations is not allowed in Exodus 20:16
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
The meaning of false accusations can be seen in Psalms 35:20
20 For they do not speak peace,
but against those who are quiet in the land
they devise words of deceit.
In the Bible, so many people faced false accusations and a popular one is that of Jesus Christ which He suffered from the hands of the Pharisees and their followers. Prophet Isaiah prophesied His life on the cross in Isaiah 53:7
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
Following the Law of Moses, those that wrongly accused Jesus should be crusified but Jesus even prayed for them even on the cross showing his tenderness and long suffering which is one of fruits of the spirit.
As Christians, when we are accused falsely we should emulate Apostle Paul in his approach towards the Corinthians. Apostle Paul defended his integrity as a servant of God, provided them with the true information to believe and not judge people based on rumors.

This is something we should watch against. We do not want to accuse others falsely. Let's try our best to get all the information available before we accuse a person.

Nice reading from you. Personally, I do not believe a sin could be labelled big or small sin though. This is because the bible only seperates sin against the holy spirit from other kinds of sins.
It really hurts when one is accused falsely. False accusations could land a person in big problems. Thanks for sharing this.
For anyone who accuses his neighbor has so Ned against God. For it said that judgement is of the Lord and for him alone. Let us endeavour to always avoid judging ourselves. He is the ideal judge of every act.

Accusing people fausely can demorarize them.... A day that is a sin before God.

Like myself for example, I have been falsely accused a certain time of stealing money for the man i worked for, meanwhile i wasn't the one that stole the money, falsely accusation is actually a very depressing thing ,but we just have to stay truthful and continue encouraging ourselves.
