We Are an Asset and Not a Liability
We as children of God are blessed with the divine treasure of God’s spirit in us. Been born-again comes with the blessing of the holy spirit, you cannot be born-again without the holy spirit in you. The divine treasure that is given to us is the holy spirit and been deposited in us to guarantee us of the things to come. Ephesians 1:13-14 says,
But you also hoped in him after you heard the word of truth, the good news about your salvation. After you believed, you were sealed by means of him with the promised holy spirit, which is a token in advance of our inheritance, for the purpose of releasing God’s own possession by a ransom to his glorious praise.
Aside this, it’s revealed in the bible that we might be earthen but in us lies the great treasure. We are blessed with heavenly abilities by virtue of these treasure, abilities that supercedes the natural. Those abilities are instilled in us because of God’s presence in our life. Hence, we are called the temple of God.
As children of God with this status , we should be blessed with answers to those who are lost among us. The gift of the holy spirit opens our eyes to heavenly secrets and we can use this to bless those in our circles and communities. Our vision for the church should be paramount, so as to utilize the gift to the benefit of all. When you are blessed with the gift of the holy spirit, you have been chosen to do great things.
With that in mind we should not despise or look down on the great things we can achieve, because you are capable of changing a lot of lives because Christ is present in you. This isn’t about you physical appearance, how intelligent you are or your level of brilliancy, it’s about Christ in you. Though you might think small about yourself, but know this there are a lot of lives that will be blessed by your hands as ordained by God and all those lives are waiting for you.
In Acts 27:27-44, when Paul was held up as a prisoner on a ship that was transporting other prisoners to Rome. There were experience Sailors and Captain onboard the ship but there came the wind which was threatening to capside the ship and death was on the horizon. But Paul who was just a prisoner with no knowledge of how to sail a ship became the situational leader. Do you know why he was capable of all these? It was because he had Jesus in him. All he needed to do was to communicate with his father in heaven. With that peace was brought back and the situation returned to normal.
We also can be leaders for the moment when we step up to proffer solution to the little issue that might be disturbing or giving your friends a hard time. Bring joy into their lives and save those who have lost their faith. All these can be achieved when you begin to realize that you are not a liability but an asset with great potentials to unfold.
Evidently we are assets to the world
We are solution providers
We are leaders with insight

We are God's progeny a direct representation of his grace and favour on earth, certainly we are not a liability, God's purpose for mankind to have dominion and dominate the world take control and not be controlled, this is beautifully written.
