An Encounter With God Through Faith

BIBLE TEXT: Like 8:43-48, Act 3:2-6

Before I proceed on today's topic, I will first of all define the word faith. Faith is the belief in the existence of God and a strong conviction in God's capability, it takes Believe and Action for one to be able to measure faith and as a Christian when you lose faith, you lose hope and to lose hope is to lose breakthrough. There in the scripture ( like 8 : 43-48) a certain woman who was having an issue of blood and the bible recorded 12years, it was stated that the woman had indeed spent her living upon physician but none brought her healing, after trying man's ability with no result, she then have to key to that faith, believing in that strong conviction of God's capability. When Jesus came, behold a great multitude around following Jesus but she kept pushing further and this was because of the faith that she had, although lot of persons around must have pushed her away due to her condition but still she kept moving forward and she was able to touch the border of Jesus's garment and immediately she got her healing. At that moment Jesus knew someone had touched him, the touch of healing. It takes believe and action for her to get the issue of blood stanched.

Also in the scripture ( Act 3:2-6) a certain man who was said to be lame right from her mother's womb, his relatives will carry him to the beautiful gate ( the gate of the temple) just for him to ask alms from those entry the temple. A day came when Peter and John came to the temple, the man saw them but his thought was to get alms from them but Peter said unto him, silver and gold I have not but such as I have give to them: in the name of Jesus Christ rise up and walk and immediately as peter said that the man's feet and ankle bone received strength. Note the healing wasn't just because Peter said rise up and walk rather it was because the man knew that God's report is final and it takes faith to key to that report.
To be unclean is manageable but for one to remain in that perpetual state of uncleanness is something I consider as not acceptable, it takes faith to have an encounter with God; so as a Christian, let's exercise that long lasting faith.
