WEDNESDAY PROPELLANT - Praying aright
Hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily
The above statement is the first part of The Lord’s prayer and is the foundation for answered prayers.
We pray to get answers, so it is quite frustrating when you pray and it seems like answers are not forthcoming.
The disciples of Jesus saw the way He was getting speedy answers and response to His commands and they asked a question..
Lord, teach us how to pray..
So The Lord’s prayer is a template for praying to get speedy answers. Let us look at it.
First line says
OUR FATHER
New birth qualifies you for sonship right in Christ, so, are you born again? If God isn’t your father, the devil most likely would be. In John. 8:44, Jesus called the devil some people’s father. So new birth is key to be a son.
Second line says
HALLOWED BE THY NAME
This is about Thanking God for who He is and not necessarily for what He has done. This act is the qualification for entering the gates and courts of God, without this, you’d be shut out.
Third line(very important)
THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.
Until Hannah put the interest of God’s kingdom before her needs, her womb wasn’t opened. We most times come to God with a shopping list - Do for me prayer points. Pray for souls, pray for the rain of God’s word, pray for missionaries, pray for furtherance of God’s word and many more; enforcing God’s kingdom on earth.
Then..
GIVE US THIS DAY can follow..
So these keys are vital, it should be a lifestyle and not because you want something from God. A kingdom driven person most times don’t need to ask, before they even ask, God is doing it, Isa. 65:24.
