Friday Bomb - Good or Right

Good and Right may look synonymous but in reality they are not. A lot of decent people including church folks experience disappointments and even frustration when it seems they are doing what is supposedly okay by standards.

Good or Right
Which of them engenders expected results?

If i take a poll now, people may say Good, others may say Right, even more may say both can.

I won’t give a Yes or No answer, but i’ll give an illustration for us to understand the answer more.

Follow this.
Mr A had an accident, after he was taken to the hospital in a critical state, a blood transfusion was required.

Mr D quickly heard of it, he offered to donate blood, his blood sample was taken for test, his blood is disease free, clean and healthy...BUT doctor shakes his head and says, “i’m sorry, we can’t use your blood”

Mr D might be shocked and say, how? My blood is clean, it is disease-free, do you want my friend Mr A to die?

Then the doctor says
“Your blood is good, but not right for him. You are A+, he is O-ve.

• So that i seems good doesn’t mean it is Right for you.
• She is pretty, curvy, and endowed makes her appealing and good to the eye, but she may actually not be right for you.
• He is handsome, tall and rich and may be a logical choice for you, but in truth, he isn’t right for you.
• That Job pays so well, good choice, but it may be a death trap, so actually not right for you.

Even the bible had to say in Proverbs.14:12 that

There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end is destruction.

Now you begin to ask

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Answer: Proverbs.3:5 Good news translation

Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.

God’s guidance system is infallible, with Him you can never make mistakes. That it seems good doesn’t mean it is Right, TRUST GOD.
