PURPOSE IN YOUR HEART.
The Bible says in Daniel chapter 1 verse 8 that Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the portion of the king's meat nor with the wine which he drank.
Despite all the great things the king had, Daniel decided not to be defiled, his parents were not there, his families were not there, his friends were not there, nobody was there to dictate to him, but he choose that decision.
Daniel knew the mind of God because he was in a deep fellowship and relationship with God. The decision he took can not be taken without a deep fellowship with God. He was able to discern what was good and what was evil. He found favour with God and definitely found favour with man. If you read the story further, Daniel was loved by the eunuchs of the palace.
Daniel's life is to be emulated, we live in a world where the devil has polluted and develop different form of schemes to hijack the children of God, but you must purpose in your heart not to be defiled, choose to stand out, choose to be different, choose to be unique, choose not to be defiled.
All these can be achieved only with a deep fellowship and relationship with God. Daniel had this and he was lifted up above his enemies.
With God, you have joy, peace, everything you can ever ask for. Take that decision today and i can assure you will not regret this.
