THERE IS GAIN KNOWING JESUS.
He was happy when he got married, but never knew the responsibilities that lies ahead of him, he never knew that his prayer life as to be even more stronger.
The same thing with the young bride, she was too happy to married at her middle 20's. To her it was too real to be true that the tittle "Mrs" will now be added to her name and her surname will be changed from Benedict to Sylvester.
So as times went on things were not moving smoothly as expected.
Cletus sort for work everywhere possible he could, but found none. One thing was sure he never lost sight of God, nor of where he was headed, he had the consciousness that everything work together for they that love the Lord.
His new bride was also patient with him knowing that tough times don't last but tough people do, knowing that in every situation they face, God is always right there.
Despite the disappointment he faces everyday his prayer and spiritual life was still at the top level ever.
He had friends that ask him join gambling, theft, rituals, money laundering etc but he stood his ground knowing that though sorrows endures in the night but Joy cometh in the morning.
It was a wonderful Tuesday morning, the sun was blazing in he sky, Tue birds were singing at the top of their voice, each trying to outsmart the other in it singing skills, the trees were busy thanking God for life by swerving their leafs and branches in adoration to it creator. Cletus got a call, from one of the firms he had submitted his application, he was extremely excited, he got up prepared, told his wife and they both held hands talked to their Heavenly father through prayers and he left.
On getting there he was interviewed alongside with others. And God so helped him he was the only qualified one. He was asked to start work immediately being that the post given to him has been vacant for some months. Cletus couldn't believe his eyes he was transfixed and marvelled at the way God works, he burst into praise but was restrained because it was an office arena.
While working he was murmuring some words of thanks and gratitude to God.
On reaching the house he Hugged his wife and shared the good news to her, tears of Joy rolled through her cheeks down to her cloth, she too was transfixed just as her husband was.
All of a sudden she dragged her husband up stair, he wondered where he would be taking him to but behold when they reached their matrimonial room she begged the husband to kneel down and they both burst into tears of Joy singing and worshiping God.
Days after days and after days Mr Cletus was enjoying his new work, it really showed on his face, his co-workers loved him because there was no dull moment with him.
A day came where the board of chairman's needed him, so he went and attended to what he was called upon for. When he got there he was given a comfortable seat and he was asked to falsified his account details being that he is good at his work and so there is no doubt that he won't be able to do it. After telling him what to do, he politely greeted them and told them he can't do this great thing and sin against God, this were the exact words Our brother Joseph used In Genesis 39:9b
9.how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
He was asked to stand out and wait for them to deliberate, when he left they started arguing amongst themselves some blamed the others being that they had warned that Mr Cletus is a child of God and that by his fruit, he is known not to be such a man. After much argument he was asked to come in, they threatened him that he was going to leave his one month old Job that was paying so Much since he doesn't want to comply.
He again stood his ground and Left.
Although sad but he was happy he overcame the devil. He told his wife on reaching home but she never behaved like the understanding wife anymore rather she was angry that her beloved husband would be this foolish. Well he was marvelled at the way his wife reacted.
Days passed and he never got a call form anywhere at all he had Submitted application letter to start work.
He put Matthew 6:27 into practice
27.Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
He seize thinking and left everything in the hands of God.
Few days later he was called by the firm again, on reaching there he discovered that it was all a test to see his level of faithfulness she it come to finance.
He was told that several people has lost the job because of this test, bit he has proven himself worthy, worthy of emulation.
That single attitude of his was able to draw more souls to God, persons that had lost hope thinking God isn't fair with them, persons that have compromised their faith because of money, anyone that heard his story and was living in Sin immediately had a U-turn.
His wife pleaded for forgiveness for not being there for him at his trying times, he forgave her and they lived happily ever after.
What is that thing that you are passing through and you feel God isn't seeing it, my beloved some of it are just test to see how much you love Him. Look at what the bible says in 1st Corinthians 10:13
13.There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Beloved, God is not yet through with you. Indeed There is Gain in Knowing Jesus
I encourage you, you that thinks all hope is lost, God will surely visit you Amen.
