Paul speaks like someone who was there all day when Jesus celebrated the last supper with the disciples, because he says: "I have received from the Lord ..."; Pablo received without being there. This is our condition today. We receive from the Lord, that is, it is a truth, it is alive. Paul met Jesus after arresting, persecuting and even agreeing with the death of many Christians, but Jesus revealed himself to Paul, in such a way that Paul never forgot, never was the same, and dedicated himself to talking about Jesus for everyone else. Days of his new life.

Jesus showed his glory to Paul (Acts 9: 1-19). In John 4:40, Jesus speaks to Martha: "... if he thinks he will see the glory of God" and then resurrects Lazarus. We can imagine the reaction of the people who were close at this moment, because there is nothing normal in raising the dead. Returning to the text of Corinthians 11: 23-26, where Jesus says: "my body gave itself up for you", Jesus tells us to eat his body, which is the necessary food to produce real life.

That says: "This cup is the new covenant in my blood", a new covenant of God is established, an eternal covenant with us. We are clean of all sin, because Jesus sacrificed himself for us. This new covenant had been prophesied by Jeremiah, he observes:

"The days come, says Jehovah, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah ... This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my law inside of them and I will write that in their hearts, I will be their God and they will be my people. It is tremendous to see the importance of Jesus' sacrifice, since that brought us closer to God. The supper is holy because it reminds us of the separation we have from sin through the body of Christ.

In the text of 1 Corinthians 11, where he says: "do this in memory of me" is not only to remember, but to reflect deeply on everything he has done for us.
