In Search of a Warrior
Certainly we live in difficult times where the oppression of man to his neighbor is the order of the day, are the times that the bible calls "as in the days of Noah" Each one occupied in his own affairs, indifferent to the needs of the other. At this time God is looking for men and women with spiritual sensitivity capable of "standing in the gap" and fighting the battle for their neighbor and you can be called to be part of this army of warriors that make a difference in this time.
Ezekiel 22: 29-30 The people of the land used oppression and committed robbery, the afflicted and needy made violence, and the foreigner oppressed without right. And I sought among them a man who made a wall and who stood in the breach before me, in favor of the land, so that I would not destroy it; and I did not find it.
No matter your origin, God makes you a Warrior
It is not about your Origin, origin, status or circumstance that determines your calling and the success you have in it. When God decides to position you, when he chooses you to perform a specific task, nothing of the foregoing determines your future, it is his grace, his favor that enables you to face the challenge and be the winner in it.
Psalm 113: 7-8 He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the dunghill, to make them sit with the princes, with the princes of his people.
1Samuel 22: 1-2 Then David departed from there, fled to the cave of Adullam; and when his brothers and all his father's house knew it, they came to him there. And all the afflicted joined themselves together with him, and all who were in debt, and all that were in bitterness of spirit, and became their chief; and he had about four hundred men with him.
We are Soldiers of his army
We are part of a chosen army of warriors which God trains and equips with the necessary weapons to overcome all conflicts, face great challenges and emerge victorious.
Psalm 18: 32-34 God is the one who girds me with power, and who makes my way perfect; Who makes my feet like deer, And makes me stand firm on my heights; Who trains my hands for battle, To bent with my arms the bronze arch.
A warrior does not refuse combat
A warrior of God's army fears no challenge, is always willing to face any challenge. Although others recoil when you are convinced of divine support, you fight for your family, for your neighbor, for the Church of Christ always coming out victorious in every battle.
2Samuel 23: 11-12 After this was Sama son of Age, ararita. The Philistines had gathered at Lehi, where there was a small field full of lentils, and the people had fled before the Philistines. He then stood in the middle of that field and defended it, and killed the Philistines; and Jehovah gave a great victory.
Does not give up easily
In the most arduous of the battle a warrior of the Lord does not retreat, he does not fear, and even if he is demanded to the fullest, he will continue to fight even when his strength is lacking.
2Samuel 23: 9-10 After this, Eleazar the son of Dodo, ahohíta, one of the three brave ones that were with David when they defied the Philistines who had gathered there for the battle, and the men of Israel had gone away. He got up and wounded the Philistines until his hand was tired, and his hand was stuck to the sword. That day Jehovah gave a great victory, and the people turned after him only to collect the spoils.
He is not afraid of compromise
However great the challenge may seem, no matter how difficult and frightening the fight, a warrior of the Lord will always assume the commitment, will be willing to face it and will surely come out of the fight, because his trust will be placed in Jesus.
2Samuel 23: 20-21 Later, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, son of a valiant man, great in prowess, of Cabseel. He killed two lions from Moab; and he himself descended and killed a lion in the middle of a pit when it was snowing. He also killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature; and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, but he went down with a stick against it, and he took the Egyptian's spear out of his hand, and slew him with his own spear.
God wants to provide himself with an army of men and women committed to his kingdom and the needs of others, God is looking for you to make a difference in this world that is lost.
