Faithfulness required matthew 25:14-30

Jesus likened the kingdom to a man who gave talents to his servants each according to his ability. N 0 man was to complain about the talent he was given. It was the master who chose who to give what, however each person was responsible for how he utilizes what he was given.
matthew 25:14-30

The first two made good use of what was given them and were praised by their master. Note that their faithfulness in utilizing what was 'entrusted, to them led to reward v.21.

Note their enthusiasm in coming to their master to 'settle accounts', they were not afraid, they came joyfully. This is the way it should be for a true believer, we are not to be afraid to render our stewardship account to our lord and master.

The third servant with one talent paints a pathetic picture. He misunderstood his master, called him names and even suggested that he was shady and virtually threw the one talent he was given to his face, v.24~25.

It was the servant who was wicked and slothful, someone has suggested that the view we have of God will determine how we relate to him and how we carry out our service. We need to examine ourselves, God expects us to be faithful with all he has entrusted to us and our eternal destiny depends on it.

We want to use what ever opportunity we have to the full. That is, we should use wisdom when we are privileged to receive anything either from humans. This is a parable that has so much for us.

John says about the Scriptures in 5:39, “It is they that bear witness about me,” he means that God knew Jesus perfectly and fully and that he inspired these Scriptures, and through the Scriptures revealed Jesus. God said things and did things in the Scriptures, which, if we had understood them, would have given us a glimpse of Jesus and would have prepared us to recognize him and receive him when he came.

This is a great and wonderful message. enthusiasm in coming to their master to 'settle accounts', they were not afraid, they came joyfully. We need to utilize what ever opportunity we have to the full. That is, we should utilize insight when we are favored to get anything either from people. This is an anecdote that has such a great amount for us.

God want us to be faithful and fruitful in whatsoever He commit into our hands.
The story of the man that went ahead to bury the talent that God gave him and how God collected it back and gave it to the one that judiciously make use of his own teaches us not to be a waster of resources.
