Crying to God for help
David cries out to God when he feels the weight of his oppressors all around him. How often do we feel the same way as David when he cries out, “my eyes fail, looking for your salvation and looking for your righteous promise?” In the midst of these difficulties the Psalmist also pleads with God for understanding of His Word.
Psalm 119 : 121-128
121.I have done justice and righteousness; leave me not to those who would oppress me.
122.Be surety for Your servant for good [as Judah was surety for the safety of Benjamin]; let not the proud oppress me.
123.My eyes fail, watching for Your salvation and for the fulfillment of Your righteous promise.
124.Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy and loving-kindness, and teach me Your statutes.
125.I am Your servant; give me understanding (discernment and comprehension), that I may know (discern and be familiar with the character of) Your testimonies.
126.It is time for the Lord to act; they have frustrated Your law.
127.Therefore I love Your commandments more than [resplendent] gold, yes, more than [perfectly] refined gold.
128.Therefore I esteem as right all, yes, all Your precepts; I hate every false way.
When we are in trouble we often come before Him with our past records of obedience, making fresh requests unlike David. Another point here is David sees the correlation between learning and understanding God's Word and facing the challenges that surround him everyday.
The last three verses of this section of the Psalm 119 seem to be a conclusion of the first five verses. It is an invitation for the LORD to act. In a world were God's word is not regarded and so much evil is being perpetrated against God's people. Like the Psalmist it is very necessary we invite God to act on behalf of His children.
As we continue to grow in Christ, we begin to learn the depth of God's Word and its importance in every step we take. Let's not be satisfied with long periods of times when there is little or no spiritual growth in our lives! Cry out to the Lord to help you; that is a prayer He always answers.
Prayer Dear Father, help me to love your word above fine gold and shun every evil way.

God listens to our cry for help. He says in the scriptures that if we cannot carry our problems to him, we should just roll them. That is to show his concerns for us. We are sure that he will help us during time of distress. Thanks for this encouraging writeup.

David was an example of a man who was always took his troubles to God, when his wives and children were taken captive by the philistines, he made it a habit to always consult God.
This earned him the man after God's heart title, as Christians we must establish a relationship with God so that we can always call to him in our difficult times. Amazing write up buddy.
David was a great man of God that qhen he needed help, he cried unto the lord. As a christain, we need to cry unro the lord for his mercy by praying.
God is always ready to hear us and deliver us when we are in trouble and we humble ourselves in prayer of faith unto God. David was a man that really know how to get close to God both in prayers and praises.

God tunes in to our weep for help. He says in the sacred texts that in the event that we can't convey our issues to him, we should simply move them. That is to demonstrate his anxieties for us. We are certain that he will help us amid time of misery. Much obliged for this empowering writeup.
