The birth of a child usually means a victory over selfishness, fear and lack of responsibility; it is a sign of faith in the other who is loved, and of hope in the future. It is impossible to know how our children will react to the temptations of the world. The best we can do is prepare them spiritually to resist the temptation and pray to God to give them the wisdom necessary to choose the right path. How sad it is to see a child fall before temptation. How sad it is to see how our dreams, our hopes are destroyed. But how beautiful it is to see when our children get up and succeed and achieve the goals that parents want for them.
