TRUE REPENTANCE

I will be talking about repentance, and before we proceed, I will like us to look at what repentance truly means.
Repentance by definition, simply means feeling sorry for your wrong doing and turning away from them

There are some key words in this definition I would want use to look at, the key words are feeling sorry, wrong doing, turning away. That is to say before repentance come to play there must be a wrong doing, meaning one cannot repent if he or she has not done anything wrong. The second point is that he or she must truly feel sorry, which means there can't be repentance if he or she did not feel sorry, there is a true repentance when the person feels sorry for whatever he or she has done wrong or have been doing wrong. And the last after feeling sorry is turning away from them. There can't be true repentance if someone feels sorry for whatever he or she has done and still stays in it. Meaning before repentance can take place, one have to turn away from them.

Forgiveness requires lots of dedication and commitment, meaning it must come from within the psychologist call it intrinsic motivation, that is, motivation from the inside. For one to repent, he or she have to be motivated from the inside. It is good that people feels pity from the inside when the word of God is being preached. But the question is, why did they repent?, Some preachers go about talking about how beautiful heaven looks like, how beautiful it is to live a life of eternity, and people coming out for alter call, just because they are enticed by the things the preacher said and not because they are motivated from the inside to repent. Those kind of people end up falling out of faith in a short while.

Sometimes the preacher peach the gospel with so much aggressiveness, like talking about how God would condemn anyone who fails to give his or her life to God and out of fear, people give their life to Christ as if God is a killer.

God is a merciful Father, and anytime anyone want to come to God, it should be that he or she truly in his or her heart feels that it pays to serve Jesus. Repentance must be genuine and from the heart, not because someone entice you like a political party tries to entice people to vote for them, God is not a politician and He is not into any competition with Satan the devil. And God is not a robber nor a terrorist that will force people to serve Him or else, he or she will be thrown to the lake of fire.

Repentance is more that this, it's that state where you feels truly sorry from your heart and decides to willingly surrender to Christ.

But remember that the life we are living is grace and there is no time, we truly need to make up our mind on where we need to be, we need to look at the dreams and visions of Christ and if it suits you, then what are you waiting for. For me I will tell and advice you to follow Christ not because you will perish if you don't serve Christ nor because you will live forever in paradise if you don't serve Him. But because if pays to serve Jesus.

What are you waiting for, I urge you to carryout your own research by knowing who Jesus truly is and who Satan is. When you find out the truth, don't waste time to follow Jesus.
