STEEMCHURCH FAMILY UNITY IN CHRIST

Today i will be talking about family unity in Christ.
Do you know that a house that is not in unity brings a lot of bad luck to the growth of the church?
Firstly, what is unity?
Unity is a state of being joined or united as a whole. Unity is also known as Union.
A family comprises of both the father, mother and the children.
Family unity is the coming together of a family to become one. Family unity is both the man and the woman understand themselves.
Both the man and the woman must come together to work things out( plan on how the home will function properly)
If the house is not uniform (unity) it can cause so many effect in the lives of the children.

The man should be able to plan and cater for the family, because God has ordained man as the head of the family.
1 TIMOTHY 5:8 says that but if any provide not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.

Timothy 3:4 Says that one that ruleth well his own house, having his own children in subjection with gravity.
If the father and mother works together and also commit their home into God hands, definitely the home will be secured. The children will always respect their parents. But if their parents do fight in the home, definitely the children will also copy it.

PROVERBS 22:6 says that Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from you.
This scripture is talking about how the parents should work together in unity to teach their children the way of God and also pray together with their kids and always advice them. If the kids are not taught in the way of the Lord, definitely they will one day disrespect their parents.

EPHESIANS 6:1-3 ; Children obey your parents in the lord, for this right

1. Honor thy father and mother so that your days on earth will be long which is the first commandment of promise).
2. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Children please it is wrong to disobey your parents at home, when ever they need your presence at home or any where, always be available. If you choose to disobey them, There is a curse involved. It is good to respect your parents so that your days will be long on earth and also so that peace and unity should reign in the home.

EPHESIANS 6:4
Says that and ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath; but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the lord.
My dear parents, never you provoke your children to anger, let us try to nurture them in the way of Christ.

EPHESIANS 5:21 Says that submitting Yourselves to one another in the fear of God. It is very good to love and subject yourselves to one another for this process will promote good relationship in the home.

Lastly, JOHN 4:7 Says that beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God.

Let's try to build Godly relationship in our home. Don't forget that our children is our future leaders tomorrow. what they see is what they copy.
