ANSWERED PRAYERS?

in #steemchurch5 years ago

"Pray to obtain" is a term coined by the first Pentecostals, for some it means to stay prostrate on their knees until they are sure they have received a response from God. For others, it meant going back to the Lord continuously until you get an answer. (This was also called "persevering in prayer.") As a child, at camp meetings, I heard people testify: "I'm going to grab the altar horns and I'm not going to let them go until God answers me!" However, I do not believe that this is the true meaning of "pray until you get". You can lock yourself in the Lord, delight in His presence; You can spend hours of quality, even days, with Him, glorifying you in a sweet communion. You can have all your needs met, your heart can be totally satisfied, but what happens when you leave that holy place of intimate communion? You can get up from your knees only to return to your overwhelming situation that has not changed. You can see the devil waiting for you, ready to throw the same problems and empty to you. I ask you: How good is it to receive the glory on the mountain if it will not help you to pass your battle? Let me explain what I believe about "praying until you get". It simply means that the strength, power and encouragement that you receive from the Lord while you are locked in with Him must help you pass the tests that are before you. The victory you gain in the secret place has to give you victory on the battlefield. Think about it: Was yours a "concluded prayer"? As you will see, "praying until you get" means waiting for the full fulfillment of your prayer. Many Christians only see prayers answered half-heartedly because they do not allow what they have received from the Lord in prayer to help them pass their test. However, many sincere prayers have been spoiled, they have been aborted, they have been lost because they were not "taken to" this point. Beloved, the prayer does not end; it is not a "concluded prayer" until it takes you to the other side of your test. We have not "prayed until we get" until we have "experienced passing" our trials by the strength received in the presence of the Lord.

Ask our Father to grant him to prevail at the time of the test and that He never let him fall, that he always look at his love and never leave his presence.
