SOARING IN GLORY

It is only an eagle of all kinds of birds that can soar high because it has an extra ordinary characteristic and ability.

As a child of God only when you have the supernatural powers and abilities that you can soar IN glory like the eagle.

Glory is a word that suggests splendour, majesty and greatness.

As children of God it is required that we soar in glory in any area of our lives so that our father in heaven may be glorified.

Although, all these attributes can be ascribed to different things at different times.

We have to realize that as those who have been called and chosen of God, part of our heritage is to show forth the glory of God because we are no longer in darkness.

It is only a man who has come into reality of this life in Christ and has experienced Christ in totality that can understand what it means to know and show the glory of God.

As we begin to look into God's word and strive for the revealed truth, we would then rise into this life shows the splendour and majesty of God.

STEPS TO TAKE TO SOAR IN GLORY

HAVE A DIFFERENT IDENTITY:

Not the world's kind of identity but Christ like (Emulate Him).

Let your life reflect His glory.

BEHOLD WITH OPEN FACES:

The one and only way we can have open faces is by beholding the glory of God as in a mirror as secondly beholding with unveiled faces. The mirror represent the word of God.

The word is meant to open our eyes to see Him exactly as He is so that he that we can become like Him.

We can behold with open faces as we look into the word of life.

Our veil must be removed and the first step to this is turning away from sin.

BY LAYING ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT:

In the pursuit of that which is of God, there are many things that are potent enough to hinder us.

What the Bible describes as weight may not necessarily be sins, but they are excesses that we have in our lives.

They range from seemingly insignificant vices like oversleeping, eating and unwholesome talk.

But sin is the greatest weight that can keep us from his glory.

What these things do to us is to draw us back and make our pace slower.

CARRY YOUR CROSS DAILY :

There is always a price to pay if you want to hit the mark of our high calling in God and God had to pay this price for the redemption of man by giving His only begotten son Jesus Christ.

To get to the fulfillment of destiny and to the place of glory in God, we cannot escape the place of the cross just like Jesus did.
There are pleasures we have to let go for the sake of the glory that is set before us.

If we suffer with Him, we shall also be glorified with Him.

SEEK NOT THE PRAISE OF MEN:

Those who are dead to the praise of men can bear their contempt.

God will seek the honour of all who do not seek their own and give grace to the humble.

Friendship with the world is enmity with God.
The honour and glory we seek is not of this world.

RESISTING THE COUNTERFEIT:

It is easy to be led by the glory of fame and the riches of this world.

We must therefore possess discernment enough to know when these representations of glory constitute impediment to our service to God.

In some cases, none other than the deceiver might even direct them our way to sway us from our service to God.

Our responsibility is always with the help of the Holy Spirit resist the temptation of the wealth when it attaches itself to the service of another rather than Him from whom all good things come.

OVERCOMING TEMPTATION:

TRIALS :

Challenges are for our great change, problems are for our promotions, trials are for our glory.

As vessels in God's house, he will put us in the fire often times to strengthen us and make us tougher.

However, the wonderful part is that He always sits by the fire to make sure we don't stay one second longer than necessary, so we don't begin to crack.
