DO NOT PROCRASTINATE
ECCLESIASTES 11:1-10
Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Vs 1
Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. Vs 4
As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. Vs 5
In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good. Vs 6
Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun: Vs 7
But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity. Vs 8
Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Vs 9
Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. Vs 10
Your decision today determines your destiny tomorrow and procrastinating can invalidate your destiny and purpose.
Casting your bread is an action prompted by a decision but not everybody will easily take a decision to cast his or her bread upon the waters It looks risky. Some will prefer eating than casting their bread, others will keep it than casting it.
Every action is a product of a decision, even not to act is a decision and idleness is a decision. The reason why he that observes the wind will not sow is because he is yet to make a decision or has made a decision but yet to take a step. He is halting between two opinions.
Some decisions demand urgent speed and promptness.
Joshua asked the children of Israel, in Joshua 18:3:
How long are you slack to go to possess the land?
They could not make up their minds.
Your procrastinating in urgent matters of soul winning may have sent souls to hell.
Do something today, this moment, this hour, this seconds and minute don't wait till tomorrow. Tomorrow may be too dangerous and too late to save that man, woman, boy, girl, lady who has being waiting for you.
If you ask doctors in hospital, they will tell that, in saving lives, minutes count. Now is the time, stop procrastinating it won't help you and those in the world whom God has placed in your care, waiting to listen to your encouraging words to get saved.
A minute procrastination can lead to a loss of life.
Lest you forget, God will ask from you the blood of those ones He has kept in your care. And what shall you say?
It is time to arise and take that bold step that shall change the world and bring lives to Christ.
PRAYER
Lord, help me to act today, i can no longer procrastinate.
