LEARN TO FORGIVE
In Luke 23:34, Jesus asked God to forgive his people who were putting him to death, the Jewish leaders, Roman politicians and soldiers and even the bystanders.
Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. - Luke 23:34
This may sound incredible but God did answer that prayer and opened up the way of salvation to his murderers and even to as many who would repent today.
Paul was an archenemy of the Christians but Jesus forgave him of this misplaced zeal and called him into the ministry. God saw beyond Paul's weakness and knew Paul could be a useful instrument in his vineyard. God was right.
The Apostle Paul must have learnt a lot from his encounter with Jesus and realized that God is in control at all times and that it is wise to hand over situations that distract and hurt us into his hands.
In Matthew 5:38-47 Jesus teaches us not to revenge or retaliate for any evil done to us. Rather we are to go the extra mile and love and help the very people who make themselves our enemies. This is not natural but supernatural, only God can give us the strength to love as he does.

Are you a child of God and wish to be Christ-like? They learn to forgive and forget. At times the very evil the devil wishes to perpetuate can be used by our God to his own Glory. In persecuting the Christians, the Gospel went beyond Jerusalem. Joseph's slavery was a vehicle that brought the fulfilment of his destiny. That enemy may also be a vehicle taking you to your destiny. Forgive him so you will be forgiven!
