This is the the Time to Sow
Yesterday, it was said that the time to prepare for eternity is now - while we are alive. We prepare for heaven by seeking righteousness. Everything we say or do counts. Our faith is important, every good deed is a seed sown, and it will surely yield fruits of it's kind.
" For he that something to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption: but he that soweth to the spirit real life everlasting."
Galatians 6:8
We should be mindful of the danger of sowing to the flesh. How do we sow to the flesh? We do do by satisfying the desires of the flesh- the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life. In this pursuit, we spend time acquiring material things and we get so busy doing these things that we do not pay attention to our Creator. We are consumed with the affairs of the world. We become carnal minded. That is the bane of our society today and one of the reasons why corruption has eaten deep into our system. We need to look beyond the desires of the flesh. The harvest on earth ends in decay with the flesh.
We sow to the Spirit by doing things that please God- by walking in righteousness. When we walk in righteousness, we build up treasure in heaven and as well as enjoy God's blessings on earth. Our time here on Earth is to sow for a heavenly harvest. So, death becomes a transition to eternity in heaven to enjoy a glorious unending life with the Lord.
To walk in righteousness, is to walk with Jesus. Oh Lord help me to wait till the end. Thanks for this @emma001
