What does it mean to be conservative?

I am surprised by some changes that the media "society" articulates and implements!
They try to impose distorted connotations, making up lies and inducing the unwary to error.
One of the characters of the story, of the conservative thought, which really inspires me, is Russell Amos Kirk seemed predestined to become a paradigm of conservative thinking, in the American sense of the term, from its birth. He saw the first light on October 19, 1918 in Plymouth, in a Scottish family of Puritan origin.
It is said that in his youth, Kirk did not seem to have an inclination towards the religious, but
was raised in the typical mentality of Puritanism, which attaches special importance to the defense of the individual, religious freedom, the ethics of work well done, education or saving.
He enumerated 10 principles of American conservative thought, because in Europe, conservatism was considered liberalism with moral principles, but they were enemies of Christianity.
Today I want to mention the first principle of Lord Kirk
1 The conservative believes in the existence of a lasting moral order!
According to Kirk, men and nations are governed by moral laws, and those laws have their origin in a wisdom that is more than human.
Actually, they start from divine justice. Of course, similar statements are found in the Bible and, later, in Christian natural-law conceptions.
Submit yourself to the higher authorities; because there is no authority but from God, and those that are, by God have been established. So that whoever opposes the authority, to the established by God resists; and those who resist bring condemnation to themselves. Because the magistrates are not to instill fear in the one who does good, but in the bad. Would you have no fear of authority? Do good, and you will have praise of it; because he is God's servant for your good. But if you do the wrong, fear; for not in vain does he bear the sword, for he is a servant of God, an avenger to punish him who does evil. Therefore it is necessary to be subject, not only because of punishment, but also because of conscience. For this is why you also pay the tributes, because they are servants of God who continuously attend to this very thing. Pay everyone what you owe: to whom tribute, tribute; to which tax, tax; whom I respect, respect; whom he honors, honors. Do not owe anyone anything, but love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

However, Kirk also found them in the Greek thought of Aeschylus, Sophocles or Euripides or in the writings of Cicero or Marcus Aurelius.
We must also embrace the conservative thinking that defends the moral and spiritual values of Christianity:
Conserve integrity;
Keep an illicit character;
Keep a suitability pattern;
Conserve purity;
Keep the truth in my heart;
To conserve the family as God created;
Keep peace, joy and love.
I will not change the lie in truth, nor the truth in a lie!

I think what we should conserve first in our hearts in Christ the crucified. By conserving Christ I mean each person should endeavour to make Christ his or her personal Lord and Redeemer. Without doing this, conserving moral laws is simply useless. Morality is never a guarantee for a peaceful eternity.
