Keep the flame burning in your purpose
Dear Community!
The following biblical verses, they made me think!
Enlarge the place of your tent, and the curtains of your rooms be extended; do not be sparse; lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes. Because you will spread to the right hand and the left hand; and your descendants will inherit nations, and will inhabit the devastated cities.
Isaiah 54: 2-3
While meditating on that text, the following question came to my mind: "Do you know why many have stopped living the fullness of their calling and the purpose for their lives?"
"Because they are afraid, afraid to take the necessary steps to follow the guidelines they have received in the spirit."
Can you imagine the dimension of this truth?
How many churches did not start in different cities and nations because those who were called by God are afraid to obey?
How many people lost being big businessmen because they were afraid to invest?
How many books have not been written or are they stored on computers because their writers are afraid of failing and not selling their publications?
How many crusades never came out of the evangelists' dreams because they are still afraid of not achieving them?
These and many more questions, arise as a reflection today, for us the parishioners of the first Church of Blockchain (@steemchurch)
We do not have excuses to feel fear, because "in love there is no fear, on the contrary perfect love expels fear" (1 John 4: 18a), and we have plenty of love, "because God poured out his love in our hearts, through the Holy Spirit who has given us "(Romans 5: 5).
God is the most interested in the success of our lives and ministries. However, the main author in our history is ourselves!
God spoke to a people saying that they would expand the territory, because the growth of the families was approaching, this expansion would result in higher levels of comfort for all.
We are in the time of God's grace, we must expand knowledge, put the imagination to work, limitations are in the minds of people, and this prevents them from moving forward in life.
Those of us who live here in the chain of blocks, we must leave the routine and take a step of expansion, widening and firmness.
"You will extend to the right and to the left" but, if you look at the verse, the prophet Isaiah first said "enlarge, stretch, stretch, sign ..." (Isaiah 54: 2).
And, who is responsible for those actions? God or us? It is certainly us!
Leviticus 6: 12: "The fire will always burn on the altar, it will not be extinguished, but the priest will light wood in it every morning." God said that the fire was always burning on the altar, but for that to happen, the priest should do something: put new firewood every morning.
The more we neglect and flee from our call, the more we place sand on the flame. Even the biggest forest fires go out when there is nothing else to burn. To keep our gift alive and its flame burning, we need to put a new firewood every day!

You are so right! God has a plan for us all, but in faith we must step out and go where we are called. I personally know that stepping out can be scary, but we need to remember that God will carry us when we can't go another step. We need to be willing and He will help us. If I hadn't stepped out in faith and answered His calling, I would have missed so much! How tragic that might have been! God equips those who are called. Thank you for sharing. Have a nice day! :)

Thanks Bishop for sparking this discourse. For every Word to be received with faith is an action to bring results. In fact, the true test of believe is obedience and response. Many settle at eh point of establishment and they limit God. Thank God we have been admonished to "enlarge our tents..."
We'll have to stop the procrastination so the fire in us can burn unstoppable!

this reminds me 7 years ago being in the safe the heron in Barcelona on December 31 went through the emergency corridor many wounded were waiting for doctors as many were enjoying the end of the year while the emergency was collapsed and up the stairs For the floor where I was HE HE told me as well as doctors leave regardless of the lives that are lost so many Christians are enjoying while those same weapons are lost brother in hospitals people expect a miracle in their lives. CERTAIN brother @emiliocabrera, god bless you. Many times we do not grow because we feel comfortable with what we have, in the same way we can spend a whole life moving in a rocking chair without moving forward. If there is something great that we can do is to affect the kingdom of darkness with the light of the gospel and move forward without fear, only believing that the Lord is going forward as a mighty giant hoping that we will take the first step to walking by our side.
